The Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center Docks and information are provided at the Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center, A CRUISERS’ NET SPONSOR and a NC DOT Rest Area facility, located adjacent to the Dismal Swamp State Park, offering trails, exhibits and ongoing programs in Camden County, NC.

November will be a quiet month, with the holidays approaching. Canoe/kayak and bike rentals are still available. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the wagon rides scheduled for Sunday, 11 Nov, Sunday, 18 Nov and Sunday, 25 Nov. With safety in mind, we are working diligently to finish repairs as quickly as we can and get the wagon back in service. If weather allows, we will add a few wagon programs in December instead.

Join the ranger for a short indoor talk on all things wild turkey. Find out why they are so fascinating, and then meet a live domestic tom turkey named Handsome. Please pre-register by calling the office at 252-771-6593 to help us plan.

November is a lovely month to get outdoors- the leaves on the trees are now showing their beautiful colors, and boat traffic on the Canal is at its peak. Hope to see you in the park!
