    Order by:
    • LNM: Uncrewed Vessel deployed Key West to Fort Lauderdale, FL

FLORIDA – KEY WEST AND FORT LAUDERDALE: Unmanned Vessels.

SeaTrac Systems intends to deploy its Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV), the SP-48, between Key West, FL and Fort Lauderdale, FL between October 20, 2024, and October 29, 2024. The USV will be launched from the Stock Island Marina in Key West and will be escorted by a support vessel to a departure location several miles offshore. At this point the SP-48 will be turned over to the remote pilot who will monitor and control the boat as it heads South offshore to a location approximately 40 nm south of Key West. The SP-48 will spend roughly 4 hours at this first
location and will then transit from offshore Key West to an area approximately 30 nm east of Fort Lauderdale. The approximate transit route is shown in the operational area section below. For recovery, the boat will be met by an escort vessel and will be towed into port for recovery.
The SP-48 is a solar powered 4.8 meter USV, with a cruising speed of 3 kts and a top speed of 5 kts. The USV is equipped with an AIS transceiver, running lights, and a yellow signal flag to aid in observability, and is marked with “UNCREWED” on the transom.
