The Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad Lift Bridge, closed for emergency repairs earlier, is now operating on its normal schedule. With a closed vertical clearance of 6ft, the Belt line Bridge crosses the Waterway at Statute Mile 2.6, near the community of Chesapeake, VA..

Bridge Deviation

**Update to MSIB 277-24**

Mariners are advised that the Belt Line Bridge over the Elizabeth River Southern Branch, at mile marker 2.6, in Portsmouth, VA is now open to marine traffic.

The bridge operator can be contacted on VHF-FM Channel 13.
