Please see the attached Notice to Navigation from the USACE Norfolk District regarding the Dismal Swamp Canal.
The Dismal Swamp State Park’s pedestrian bridge, which sits just south of the Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center dock at MM28, is currently inoperable and in its closed position, preventing vessels from transiting the Dismal Swamp Canal. Park staff are working to coordinate repairs- but timeline is unknown.
