[EXPIRED] Important – Rigolets Closed to Boating Traffic
Since the Rigolets is the primary and much preferred route from the Northern Gulf ICW, as it flows west from Mississippi Sound, the closing of this channel UNTIL NEXT SPRING will be a major inconvenience for ALL cruisers! Stay tuned for future developments!
Louisiana – Rigolets Pass is once again closed to marine traffic. Seems it will be closed until about March 2008. The only ways to get into Lake Pontchartrain is either through New Orleans or the Chef Menteur Pass. Be sure to get local advice for both before negotiating!
