Location: on the waters of Thursday Cove, just to the northeast of Jewfish Creek’s northerly entrance
Minimum depth: 5 feet
Swing Room: sufficient room for vessels as large as 55 feet
Foul Weather Shelter: good, but open to northern and northwestern winds

Bottom is mostly turtle grass, which is difficult for most anchors to penetrate. I agree that this is NOT the place to be in any kind of a norther.

I found here bad holding in mangrove mud mixed with leaves. Perhaps you can do better with a plow anchor.
Another pretty mangrove anchorage. Take your dingy and fish for snappers in Jewfish Creek along the mangrove roots. Be aware the powerboats will not be considerate with their wakes.
