Broad Creek Anchorages (off the Neuse River Near Statute Mile 173.5)
On 5/9/13, as part of a North Carolina Wish List,we posed the following question:
Statute Mile 173.5 ‘“ who has dropped the hook on any of the several good anchorages available on Broad Creek, whose entrance cuts into the northern shores of the AICW/Neuse River between markers #6 and #4? Please give us a description of what you found and the depths you discovered. Did you have any trouble navigating Broad Creek’s entrance channel
Responses follow:
Many isolated anchorages but good way off AICW. Five foot draft cruising all the way to Whortonsville.
