Current Can be Swift at Fort Myers Beach Fixed Bridge, Matanzas Pass, West Florida
A phone call to the Dockmaster at Moss Marine confirms that there is indeed a swift current through the channel southeast of Matanzas Pass at Fort Myers Beach. Vessels often have docking issues in the east-west slips at Moss Marine during the periods of full tide flow. The Dockmaster estimates times of up to 10knts of current!
Would like to know the speed of the current at that location. Can’t seem to find that info anywhere
