GoFundMe Account for JIMMY RIGGED
By now most of you have heard of the sinking of JIMMY RIGGED, a AGLCA member’s home. A GoFundMe account has been set up for Jimmy and Kelly. If you are willing to contribute, see the link below.
Unfortunately, a Looper vessel sank last week. Here is Jim Horan’s post about his beloved “Jimmy Rigged”:
“A sad day. Yesterday at 5:30 pm we lost our boat. She was grounded as boats often do and when backing up to unground the boat the rudder caught and twisted the rudder shaft causing a gaping hole. We ran three pumps but could not overcome the water. Everything happened so quickly. We abandoned ship. The boat sunk. Emergency rescue crews were amazing but unfortunately could not get to the boat in time to save the boat.
Kelly and I and the three cats are fine.
I didn’t have a plan B but I am working on one.”
Jim & Kelly’s friends asked them to create a GoFundMe so they could offer assistance. I saw the link on their facebook page and asked Jimmy for permission to share it to our forum. We don’t typically post “GoFundMe” projects in our forum, but this one is for the benefit of one of our own who is dealing with a Loop-related crisis. Jimmy Rigged was Jim & Kelly’s home. The boat is a total loss.
