      Situational Update – Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Western Atlantic

      The latest briefing for the western Atlantic is attached. This update covers the hurricane-force low affecting the mid-Atlantic and Gulf of Maine waters today into tonight with winds of 65-70 kt gusting to
      80-85 kt and seas of 25-40 ft. A 73-knot wind gust was observed on eastern Long Island this morning, so the storm is performing as expected.
