Stayed here April 7 -8, 2012. We have friends here and tied up near the end of the pier, close to the trees on the cigar-shaped island that separates the marina from the canal. If you react to no-see-ums as my wife does, use muchas bug spray.
This marina has fixed docks but there is no tide here thanks to NASA who built a lock system to keep the sea off their property.
Manatee frequent the marina and gators and sharks have been spotted.
Watch your speed as you approach the Christa McAuliffe Bridge, (the tenders offensively call it the “Rt 3 bridge” saving 3 whole syllables). The tender might scold you and tell you that you are too late for the opening for which you were on time. She also doesn’t seem to monitor 9 until you are approaching and scold you for not calling sooner.
There is a friendly group of live-aboards here and dock parties happen frequently.
Currently, they are running a $0.75 per night (two nights only) special.
Harbortown Marina is one of the nicest marinas around. That being said, there’s not much to see or do on the waterways around there. We live close by and cruise the barge canal regularly. Nautical spirits bar and restaurant is great for dinner, but there is nothing else around within walking distance. There is a Publix about 5 miles down the road, and a Wal-Mart about 8 miles, if one wanted to cab it. Or you’re about 10 minutes from the beach at Jetty Park from there as well. Too bad there’s only a couple of more shuttles to launch, because this is a great area to watch from. If you get a chance to see one in the next month or so, don’t miss your chance.
Really liked the welcome at Harbortown Marina. They had a special of $.85/foot in November, for up to two days, then $1.00/foot. Very protected. Nice restaurant on site. Not close to any shopping, though, and no courtesy car. HB Koerner Take Five
Subject: Banana river Message: Don’t know if you will want to post this or not, but we just came thru the Banana River from Harbortown Marina to Vero Beach. Harbor Town is a remote nice, inexspensive Marina, whith reasonable fuel rates. Paid $3.63 plus tax, and $1 a foot for transient.Has a nice bar/resturant on property. Beyond that, There isn\’t much I can say about the Banana River. It\’s wide, nothing to see, nowhere to go, and shallow, very shallow. and ill marked. Just about the best fuel prices on FL east coast are at Harbortown Marina, mm 894 on the ICW, just north of the Cocoa bridge. Turn east off the channel onto the Canaveral Barge Canal and run 2 1/2 miles to the marina on the south shore. $1.00/ft dockage with BoatUS. Just wanted to tell my fellow cruiser who are headed up/down the intercostal that we stayed at the Kennedy Point Marina in Titusville Fl. This marina is located directly across from the Kennedy space center launch pads We saw them send up a rocket for Elon Musk Incredible This marina manager is Bruce who will help you tie up They have 50/30 electric/water and a vacuum waste system for each slip They also have a beautiful pool, laundry and-very nice bathrooms and great showers All the docks are new and have security gates at the entrance They are building a new breakwater around the entire marina This place is super clean and very secure They charge $2.00 a foot and are located 4 miles south of the Titusville bridge at marker 39 We really enjoyed being at this marina

We are fond of New Smyrna, just south of Daytona. Reasonable dockage, right downtown, easy biking to the beach, water taxi to Ponce Inlet ( you can take bikes aboard ) and an excellent farmers market on Sat right across the street. David Doyle MemoryMaker too
New Smyrna Beach City Marina – New Smyrna Beach, FL, ICW mm 846. This marina is a perfect distance from St. Augustine City Marina for a “next stop”, and we have stopped there for several years, and really like it. They have a very nice attitude towards transients, and the downtown area is within walking distance. There are adequate restaurants and shopping, and the marina personnel are very helpful. A promising-looking bakery downtown was recently shuttered, unfortunately, the last remaining useful store for re-victualling. We ducked in here on the tail end of a storm, and I’m very glad we did. Great staff with very good facilities. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel at home. Location is terrific with many good resturants within close walking distance. We WILL return to this facility. Bob M/V “Threadbare”
I’m glad someone mentioned this marina. We ended up ducking into Ponce De Leon Inlet AS a major thunderstorm was coming through (42kt+ winds). We had called SeaTow about 30 minutes before entering the inlet as we were told it was a “local knowledge only” inlet. They said just follow the markers, and anchor just inside the first green inside the inlet. We rode out the storm here, but as the sportfishers started heading back out again and throwing up wakes that threatened to swamp our 40′/25,000lb sailboat, we felt it would be better to find a marina (after all of the lightning and wind we wanted to be able to step onto land). We ended up at the New Smyrna Beach City Marina and were welcomed with open arms. The floating docks were nice, but the people there were the best part. We pulled in just as the sun completely set, and before we even had shore power hooked up we were being invited to their weekend potluck dinner. We spent a couple of hours with everyone at dinner and had a wonderful time. The next morning, one of the slipholders there volunteered to drive us to Walmart to pick up some necessary supplies (this was our first stop from the Bahamas). I often feel that the people make the marina – not the facilities (and the facilities here were good) – and this place would definitely rate 5 stars with regards to that. Chris s/v/ Pelican

Having docked on a T-head at this marina before, we were comfortable returning on 6/5/17. We were told we were docking on the T-head of B dock (B 86-67). Unlike the other T-heads, B dock is a fixed dock with NO pilings. Instead, it has 5″ wooden fenders attached to the dock, and the fenders are cut off flush with the dock surface. Moreover, these wooden fenders have no rubber or plastic protectors. Although we had our 8″ diameter fenders down as we came aside, the dock fenders did not reach the rub rail on our trawler and instead scratched the paint on our hull. We asked the marina staff why B dock (unlike the other docks) lacks pilings that reach to rub rail height, and we were told we would have to ask whoever built the dock. A dock hand advised us that inflatable fenders had been attached to the T-head but were stolen. We suggest that cruisers refuse to accept transient dockage on the B dock T-head at this marina.
I don’t see any mention of the van service the marina now offers. A van will take you to Publix or other shopping destinations for free – just sign up for a morning or afternoon run. Even better, for $30 per van load (up to 11 people) the van will run you out to the Kennedu Space Visitors Center at 9:30 AM and pick you up at 4:30 PM (this saves car rental or taxi and parking charges). Divided among those going, the cost is cheap. Kudos to Titusville for this service!
I have docked at the marina many times on trips to the Keys or Bahamas and it is always first class. There is a special place you may not know about. Up the main street there is an antique shop that is run by a retired Air Force gentleman. It is his Dad’s garage with all the old tools and equipment from before WW2. He is an interesting character and worth the visit. The shop is full of antiques that were his Dad’s and not for sale. My problem was I knew what each tool does and how to use them:) On up the street (south)is a sandwich shop that makes a good Ruben. Nice place with a park next to the marina.
The third day we docked at Titusville Municipal Marina, mile marker 878.3 . Water depths were 6 feet plus along side fixed docks. Dozier’s Cruising Guide reports floating docks but that is incorrect. There is a nice ships store on premises. The baths were clean. The four of us walked to a grocery store to re-provision and from there Mike and I took a taxi to ABC Liquors to re-provision. Dozier’s also reports shopping and a liquor store within walking distances; that to is incorrect. But a 10 minute cab ride will get you there. Got back to the boat and took the rest of the day off. It was fun visiting with our customers/friends and learning more about them. We had grilled chicken, quinoa and a salad for dinner. Life is good! Captains Mary and Mike Dickens
Stayed a night mid May 2013, as we did a couple of years back, and it was still as good as we remembered. The facilities might be a little dated, but are well maintained and are spotlessly clean. There is good access to town and shops, well within walking distance, and public transport if you don’t care to walk. We were initially unhappy with the floating dock assigned to us, so they immediately accommodated our wish and moved us to a fixed dock. Good ships store and good fuel dock. Great staff. Easy in and out from the ICW. Maybe not many frills and fancy’s but a good, solid, safe, well-run marina.
Titusville has a new mooring field, the rates are $15 /day or $290 a month. There is still plenty of room to anchor north of the mooring field. The staff there [Titusville City Marina] has always been friendly and still goes out of it’s way to serve its customers. A short walk from the marina is the Southern Room bar on Washington St or the Crackerjack out on the pier under the bridge. Both of these are good to spend a few hours in enjoying the ambiance. We had an excellent experience with the Titusville Marina and crew (2x). We would definitely return. People considering this mooring field need to be aware it has an uninterrupted 2 mile fetch NE. When the cold fronts come through, this place gets bouncy. Skipper Chris
We had a GREAT stay at Titusville Municipal Marina. They are running a fantastic special right now that is buy 1 night, get 1 night free so it ended up costing us $.80 cents/foot/night (plus $6 a night for 30 AMP electric).
The docks are fixed docks but because there is almost no tidal flow here, it didn’t matter. Clean shower facilities. Laundry is ridiculously inexpensive ($1 wash, $.50 cents dry!). There a a public bus ($1.25) that picks up at the corner of Marina Rd and US 1 that runs to Wal-Mart on the hour.
LOTS of manatee in the marina, we had about 3 drinking the dripping water off the dock when we were filling our water tanks. Fun to watch them.
Special note to dog owners, there is a brand new dog park located at Marina Park adjacent to the marina (north side). It has a big and small dog park and is a nice facility.
We definitely recommend a stop here, the staff were friendly as were the boaters who live at the marina (invited us to their Saturday night pot-luck), we have on occasion not received a friendly vibe from the live-aboard communities at some other marinas but here, the folks were extremely welcoming.
We recently spent a couple of nights at Titusville City Marina…weathered a strong front there, and we were in slip B-82…we did experience a little roll…but it was not bothersome… We found the facility well maintained and well run…very helpful staff. Don’t tell anyone I said this…but if you go to this link… you will find a good deal on their marina…. http://www.titusville.com/files/fdc1up.pdf Basically….its a deal they have going until June 30, 2010… if you stay 3 nights (consecutively) and you mention the deal….you only pay for 2 of the nights and the 3rd is free!! We were very pleased with our stay there, and their new docks are built very well.

We have only stayed at Titusville Marina once (in 2004). The facility had been improved greatly since then. We have, however tied up at the marina for a short stay during the day to go the the grocery (Save-a-Lot – not much variety and bring your own bags) and this time to fill our propane tank. The marina staff are helpful and we ave never been charged for these short stays. We usually then go on through the bridge before 3:15 PM and anchor at Addison Point.
Subject: Titusville Municipal Marina Cruising News: Heading South from Smyrna today we had a nice sail on the Indian River in a fresh northerly wind. We had planned to anchor off Titusville, but since the forecast was for building northerly winds, we elected to go into the Titusville Municipal Marina. The winds built as forecast, but we are questioning our decision to use this marina as opposed to anchoring. This is the roughest stay I’ve ever encountered at a dock. We are on B dock one slip in from the bulkhead where you would expect the best protection. There is no breakwall protecting against north / northeast wave action. A fellow boater who keeps his boat here says that the city won\\\’t put in a breakwall because of protection for the Manatee’s. Anyhow if you are traveling this part of the waterway, you might look for a more comfortable place to stay in strong northerly winds. George Myers S/V Traumerei
Subject: Rockin’ and Rollin’ at Titusville Cruising News: We agree with the many who have posted, this is a well run facility. However, the floating docks acted as wave attenuators on B dock. The fixed piers attenuate nada. From midnight till noon we have been rockin’ and rollin’ in 18-28 kts from the NNE. We recently hauled out at Westland for major work on our Beneteau Oceanis 321. New engine and new rudder. The staff at Westland are friendly, professional, and very accommodating. The boatyard is very tidy compared with other yards I've done business with. Jeff and Kyle at Boaters Edge always took time to answer my questions and kept me informed of any delays. (They were "parts in the mail issues." Not any foot dragging on their part). Kyle did the work of installing the new engine and he did an excellent job. While my wife and I did the work of procuring a new rudder Kyle did the work of installing it. Again, excellent work.
I highly recommend Westland Marina and Boaters Edge.
We had mechanical issues in Titusville that needed to be repaired. We recently purchased a (too) lightly used express cruiser we are moving from Florida to North Carolina. In Titusville, the starter on one of the engines failed and was fixed by Boater's Edge which resides in the same building as Westland Marina. Truly a collaborative arrangement. Westland Marina is under new ownership and they are as nice and accommodating as they can be. I pulled the boat in on a Saturday and made arrangements after hours on their emergency call line, and then contacted Boater's Edge that Monday. When I picked the boat up the next Friday all the work was done and I pulled out. Fuel issue. Came back. Jeff from Boaters Edge fixed it on the spot. Pulled out again. Circulating pump issue. Pulled in again. They had the part ordered and made arrangements to fix on the spot on Saturday – of Memorial Day Weekend no less – and got me up and on my way by 10am. Superb support and friendliness by Kyle and Jeff to get me back on the water again and headed north. I made 480 miles the next 3 days due to their overtime work and fast response! Also they helped with advice after the repair for my maintenance of it days later. Thanks Guys!
Although Westland Marine and Boater's Edge are separate businesses, they work collaboratively to help boaters. Sean the nice marina manager has a really friendly Labrador who will play fetch while you wait and the lounge, shower, laundry, and restrooms are spotless and comfortable. Westland is generally a DIY yard and very lively with activity. Many useful stores (grocery, pharmacy, fast food) within a 20-minute walk, and a great ACE Hardware (with marine parts) is a 2 mile Uber/Lyft ride in the Florida heat.

Great marina for smaller vessels (30 feet or less) Fantastic hurricane hole, easy access to ICW or Atlantic Ocean via safest inlet on Florida East Coast
The docks are Harbor Square are very short fingers, shore side cleats are flimsy, pilings for lines there are two. No mid ship pilings between you and your neighbor. That is it. It is full of sailboats 30 ft or less. Granted you will not see any “surge” in either location. Robert & Helen Kovach
Harbor Square Marina (where we are presently moored) is still alive and well but has fewer services than is mentioned in the book. Duncan has no fuel and does not offer repairs, although his father who previously owned the place may have. However, he has no problem with outside workman and DIYs at all. He does take in transients, although he rarely has empty docks. I have seen him make room, whenever it’s needed. I even talked to a couple in Indiantown who told me that Duncan had moved his own boat to make room for their trawler. They were quite impressed. It’s a very low key operation. It’s still one of the most protected harbors for a really bad storm (ie. hurricane) on the E. coast of FL. People bring their boats from all over to tie up here when tropical weather is on its way. You might like to advise boaters: Banana River Marina (just south of Cape Canaveral) has been acquired by one of these Developer / Building Contractor outfits. The new owner intends building houses and possibly also sell such buyers a boat slip. Thus we lose one of the lowest priced marinas on the ICW – $7.50 per ft per month. All boats (above 100) have been told to leave by the end of July. Mind you the Banana River has problems for many boats. The three bridges on the river have only 43 ft clearance – much too low for many sailing boats. The river is full of unmarked shallows – less than 4ft. Any boat with a higher draft – or have their propellers below the keel – should go very slow with maximum caution . The channel markers also are very poor and depth of the channel is at best around 5 to 6ft. Bluewater ocean sailors with 6ft or more keels should not even try it. I’m one of those leaving soon – bound for Savannah. Evading – I hope – hurricanes 😊 Best wishes, Arnold Parkinson
BANNANA RIVER MARINA HAS CLOSED AUGUST 1 2018 ! TODAY AUGUST 15 , THERE A RE APPROXAMATLY 30 TO 40 BOATS THAT HAVE NOT LEFT THE CLOSED MARINA ! MOST BOAT CAPTAINS HAVE RECIEVED PAPERS REQUESTING THEY LEAVE AND NOT RETURN DUE TO HOUSES BEING BUILT ! IT YOU HAVE EMERGENCY THEY MAY LET YOU IN !
Up and down the ICW and Chesapeake Bay there are nice smaller marinas at much lower costs than average. The Banana River Marina just south of Cape Canaveral is one of them. Only $7.50 per ft per mo plus metered power. No liveaboard fees or any other hidden charges.
There are certain things to be aware of however – as always.
1) Any sailboat with a mast higher than 43 ft cannot get under the three Banana River bridges fixed at 43ft clearance. Currently the river is about 14 inches lower than normal but that also means trouble for any boat with a draft exceeding 4ft 6 ins. 2) Shallows are everywhere but markers very difficult to find. One moment you have 5ft of water and the next second you’re suddenly stuck on a 3ft shoal. Doesn’t matter if you come into the river from the south or the north, you face the same hazards. 3) I strongly recommend you come in from the north via the Cape Canaveral Barge Canal. Stop off briefly at the Harbourtown Marina and with a short bike ride go to the nearby WalMart and buy a fishing chart – which at least gives you some idea of both water depths and markers. 4) You can find the location of the Banana River Marina both on the chart and Google Earth. (Type in Banana River Marina). The approach channel to the marina is very narrow and around 5ft depth. But when you arrive at a small bridge, (which has to be opened by the Dockmaster (Tel (321) 453 7888), stay on the starboard side which is around 4ft 6ins at best. 5) Don’t want to give you the impression that this is too much risk. Just take it easy and keep a close eye on your depth finder and you’ll be fine.
Once safely docked, you will find this marina a very friendly laid back place indeed. With around 60 slips of differing widths, you will find at least 10 liveaboards here – many have been here for years. The toilets and showers are clean but not air conditioned. The laundry is good along with a fine exchange library. Soft drink machines are available but no marine store. There is an adjacent haul out crane and DIY yard with mechanics and other experts available for hire. There are picnic tables – but in the late afternoons the ‘no see ums’ will try to eat you alive. Inside the docks are around 6 huge manatees quietly grazing. Because of the enclosed nature of the marina, it is a fine local hurricane hole – bear this in mind should one be approaching as you too are approaching – you might find no room at the inn……
Within an easy bike ride is a Walmart, other stores and restaurants – though liveaboards with cars will often offer a ride. I’m told there is a free shuttle bus to and from Orlando but haven’t as yet tried it. This is a great spot to see any rocket launch from the Space Center – alas not as frequently as in the heady days of Apollo.
This is a nice peaceful old style inexpensive marina with always someone around to have a chat with or help you with some problem. My intent is to stay here at least for the winter but who knows – maybe I’ll stay around for years and feed the manatees. I could do a lot worse.
Low slip rates, friendly environment, hurricane hole – gets a Five Star Rating in my log.

We pulled in for a night in December 2011 and next day had a gearbox problem so ended being here 2 months……………wonderful facilities,great docks, lovely big clean showers and restrooms, laundry and a wonderful lounge upstairs to relax and email in. We had good internet on the boat and in the lounge, and we have never met staff so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Clayton, the dockmaster, and his team made our stay so enjoyable and nothing was a problem to them. The only problem would be the cost, considerably more expensive than neighbouring marinas, but you are paying for the luxury. We would recommend this marina to anyone without hesitation.
Subject: Marina in Port Canaveral Cruising News: I was recently traveling south and came in from the ocean to Port Canaveral. I wanted to stay close to the Port in case I could run the ocean the next day. So I stayed at the Cape Marina, the first one I came to. Very “industrial”. If I had of gone just a little further I would have found the Ocean Club at Port Canaveral. I did find it the next morning when I walked over and met Bill Norris, the Marina Manager. He gave me a tour of the facilities – absolutely stunning and first class. All floating docks, unlike Cape Marina. And competitive rates. To anyone in this area, I highly recommend you go to the Ocean Club. You will not be disappointed – in fact you might want to stay a couple of days. Lois Lipton

Great place, friendly, well designed and maintained. Staff are very helpful, and we found electrical repair services right away. Wi-fi is awesome.
The folks at the marina are easy to deal with, BoatUS discount and the best Thai food you will ever eat. Thai Thai Sushi restaurant has the best Pad Thai and Yellow Chicken Shrimp Curry you will ever eat. Fun town to visit. Don Brown
Stayed at Cocoa on our way south in April 2013 and were most impressed, the club house and facilities are great, and the marina is well kept and well run. The staff were kind and considerate. Access to town is easy, and we had a good dinner there.
Entry is a little strange, but they guide you in well, so listen and make sure you understand. We had no issues and loved out time there.
Cocoa Village Marina is centrally located in a quaint area called Cocoa Village, lots to do and everyone is super. The staff will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is nice and the bathrooms are so clean. I give the Marina 5 stars.
Cocoa Village Marina in Cocoa, FL. – the West Basin has a concrete wall protecting it. If you come here, you want the West Basin. There is no tide, and any urge will be wind driven on the Indian River. Yes there is a nice fetch from the North from the Hwy 528 bridge. The Pilings at Cocoa Village Marina are set deep and in great condition. They have cross brace re-inforcing them. I have double springs and bow and stern lines. The slip is wide enough some 21 ft, and I can center the boat in the slip with our 15.5 beam. We love staying at Cocoa Village. Staff is very friendly and you can walk everywhere. There are plenty of smaller boats in the marina. We are 38ft and never have a problem with the dock height. Remember that there’s very little tide in this area. They have a great facility, very nice restrooms and 50 cent washers and dryers–pretty hard to beat! Harriet Hardy
i did not stay here but did get a look at the docking situation: this place is better suited for boats over 40 feet. the wooden piers are almost 8 feet above waterline and climbing off a small boat can be dangerous and difficult. it is also rather industrial in appearance.
We highly recommend Cocoa Village Marina for a night or two. It is within easy walking distance to downtown. The docks are new and there is pump out service at each slip at no extra charge. They offer discounts to MTOA members. The restrooms, laundry and lounge are clean and first rate. Aubrey and Jan Vaughan
This is a great marina with Cocoa Village across the street. There is no problem renting a slip in either the protected west basin, or the more exposed east basin. We found everything top shelf. The facility is under new management but very little has changed, I even heard of more improvements down the road, like slip side pump out. When that happens, this will be a 4 star marina. Don’t miss this one.

The protected slips have recently been sold at auction. The marina staff will not be able to commit to any renting of slips until Dec 7, when the owners will announce their intentions to rent their slips or keep their own boats in them. Costs for rental of protected slips are based on length of slip, not boat, with 50 foot minimum. Costs of rental at exposed slips based on length of vessel. Very nice marina with the swankiest Captain’s Lounge yet. We hit Cafe Margaux for lunch which was outstanding. It’s a pretty fancy spot and not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Guys…suggest you send the first mate to the “cutesy shops” while you spend an hour wandering through Travis Hardware. You gotta see this place. s/v MicMac
Cocoa is good place to stop and spend some money having fun. Ryans Pizza really hit the spot after not getting in further north. For decent protection from the north, the west basin is much better than the east. Good showers, unfortunately the sauna is only for property owners!
We have spent many days at this marina on our annual trips to and from the Keys. This is one of those facilities that you have to look very hard to find something wrong with it. To date, we haven’t . The staff is great and the facilities are clean and modern. The marine is well protected from the elements. Security is good. The location is across the street from downtown Cocoa Village which offers great food and entertainment. Travis Hardware store is worth the trip to Cocoa alone. This is a “time warp” experience with an inventory of every known hardware item ever made!! I would (and do) strongly recommend this marina as a great stop for anyone. Marsh and Bob M/V ‘Threadbare”
I just wanted to let everyone know that we had a very pleasant stay at Cocoa Village Marina. We went to Ryans Pizza just a few blocks away. A sweet girl named Mel was the server. We had a wonderful meal and a very enjoyable evening. I recommend every one to go to Ryans. Next day as we cruised South we saw several pods of dolphins and were happy to be back in Florida. This is a great spot for cruisers. The basin is nicely protected and the staff is very nice. Cocoa Village is across the street and should not be missed. Great shops and rest. as well as the best hardware store on the east coast of Florida. I’d give the marina 4 stars. Scott W.
Having docked on a T-head at this marina before, we were comfortable returning on 6/5/17. We were told we were docking on the T-head of B dock (B 86-67). Unlike the other T-heads, B dock is a fixed dock with NO pilings. Instead, it has 5″ wooden fenders attached to the dock, and the fenders are cut off flush with the dock surface. Moreover, these wooden fenders have no rubber or plastic protectors. Although we had our 8″ diameter fenders down as we came aside, the dock fenders did not reach the rub rail on our trawler and instead scratched the paint on our hull. We asked the marina staff why B dock (unlike the other docks) lacks pilings that reach to rub rail height, and we were told we would have to ask whoever built the dock. A dock hand advised us that inflatable fenders had been attached to the T-head but were stolen. We suggest that cruisers refuse to accept transient dockage on the B dock T-head at this marina.

Stayed here April 7 -8, 2012. We have friends here and tied up near the end of the pier, close to the trees on the cigar-shaped island that separates the marina from the canal. If you react to no-see-ums as my wife does, use muchas bug spray.
This marina has fixed docks but there is no tide here thanks to NASA who built a lock system to keep the sea off their property.
Manatee frequent the marina and gators and sharks have been spotted.
Watch your speed as you approach the Christa McAuliffe Bridge, (the tenders offensively call it the “Rt 3 bridge” saving 3 whole syllables). The tender might scold you and tell you that you are too late for the opening for which you were on time. She also doesn’t seem to monitor 9 until you are approaching and scold you for not calling sooner.
There is a friendly group of live-aboards here and dock parties happen frequently.
Currently, they are running a $0.75 per night (two nights only) special.
Harbortown Marina is one of the nicest marinas around. That being said, there’s not much to see or do on the waterways around there. We live close by and cruise the barge canal regularly. Nautical spirits bar and restaurant is great for dinner, but there is nothing else around within walking distance. There is a Publix about 5 miles down the road, and a Wal-Mart about 8 miles, if one wanted to cab it. Or you’re about 10 minutes from the beach at Jetty Park from there as well. Too bad there’s only a couple of more shuttles to launch, because this is a great area to watch from. If you get a chance to see one in the next month or so, don’t miss your chance.
Really liked the welcome at Harbortown Marina. They had a special of $.85/foot in November, for up to two days, then $1.00/foot. Very protected. Nice restaurant on site. Not close to any shopping, though, and no courtesy car.

Message: Don’t know if you will want to post this or not, but we just came thru the Banana River from Harbortown Marina to Vero Beach.
Harbor Town is a remote nice, inexspensive Marina, whith reasonable fuel rates. Paid $3.63 plus tax, and $1 a foot for transient.Has a nice bar/resturant on property.
Beyond that, There isn\’t much I can say about the Banana River. It\’s wide, nothing to see, nowhere to go, and shallow, very shallow. and ill marked. I will visit Harbor town again but not the Banana River.

Just about the best fuel prices on FL east coast are at Harbortown Marina, mm 894 on the ICW, just north of the Cocoa bridge. Turn east off the channel onto the Canaveral Barge Canal and run 2 1/2 miles to the marina on the south shore. $1.00/ft dockage with BoatUS. You may get a fuel discount (10 cents/gal) if you stay there.
