Basir Robertson has dedicated nearly 27 years to the aquatics division of the City of Charleston’s Recreation Department. He started his journey as a seasonal lifeguard and progressed through various roles to now being The MLK Pool Coordinator. His dedication to working with people fuels his commitment to making a positive impact in our community. One of the highlights of his career was being recognized by the City for rescuing a child in the pool, a moment made even more special with his wife and youngest son there to support him. In his spare time, you can find him playing basketball, football, golf or watching a Chicago Bears Game!

Thanks to all the volunteers, sponsors, and program partners for another great year!

The marina and harbor, found on the northern shores of Boca Ciega Bay, are easily accessible from the Western Florida ICW just north of Tampa Bay.
