Sombrero Marina and Dockside Lounge (Marathon)
There are actually two facilities in Marthon’s Boot Key Harbor that use the moniker of “Sombrero.” The one which is the subject of the posting below lies east of unllighted daybeacon #5A, NOT on the canal flowing farther to the east.
We stayed at Sombrero Marina and Dockside Lounge from Thanksgiving to Easter last winter. We found it to be a great place with easy access to many restaurants and two large grocery stores. The entertainment at Dockside was great. It is a two dollar bus ride to Key West. Most of the folks staying there were repeaters from previous years. We will definitely stay there again when do the Loop again.
