The Forecast: From Rain to Blizzard

A low-pressure system currently consolidating over the Southeast will track north along the coast, undergoing rapid intensification by Sunday night becoming a powerful coastal storm by Monday.

What to Expect

Heavy Snow & High Winds: The most intense impacts are slated for coastal regions from New Jersey to southeastern New England with accumulations of 15-24 inches likely.
Blizzard Conditions: The combination of heavy snow and powerful gusts will make travel extremely dangerous.
Power Outages: Expect strong winds to potentially take down trees and power lines.
Coastal Flooding: Onshore winds may cause moderate flooding, particularly from Delaware to Long Island.
Storm to Hurricane Force winds over the coastal and offshore waters producing waves up to 9 meters (30 feet).
