The 15th Annual Gray’s Reef Film Festival will be an exciting event that combines art, education, and entertainment to inspire ocean stewardship and conservation in our community, hosted by Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary. The 2018 festival will feature two evenings of films at the SCAD Trustees Theater, an afternoon Emerging Filmmakers Session at SCAD Museum of Art Theater, and a Sunday matinee at the Tybee Post Theater. Other events include a Founder’s Day Party at Jelinek Creative Studios to kickoff the festival, featuring an immersive ocean experience and conversation with special guests on Thursday, February 8, hosted by the Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. Plus, festival attendees are invited to stick around after the films on Sunday, February 11 to discover an ocean exploration station and enjoy lite refreshments at the Tybee Post Theater. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9 Trustees Theater Doors open at 6PM, films begin at 7PM Planned for this evening: “Blue Serengeti” uses cutting edge camera tag technology to track the great predators of the Pacific Ocean, including the majestic great white shark, as they travel the ocean in search of prey.
