Abandoned Boat Disposal
Saturday October 12 and Sunday October 13 from 8 am until 11 am
Dolphin Cove Marina – 2079 Austin Avenue, Charleston, SC
We are using power tools to tear down abandoned live aboard boats. We need volunteers to not only bring and use power tools but other to help carry the parts and pieces over to the dumpsters, pick up loose nails and screws, etc.
Bottle Treasure Hunt
Saturday, October 26, 2019 12 noon
Low tide is 1:11 pm.
We will be wading into the tidal marsh off Morrison Avenue. At low tide the ground is fairly firm. During the 40’s and 50’s Charleston incinerated their trash and disposed of their bottles in this marsh. In the past we have pulled over 14,000 bottles from this area. This visit is strictly to hunt for old bottles to use as decor. Any items you pull out of this area, you will have to take home and dispose what you do not want to keep.
We will be meeting at the parking area located on the Charleston side of the Ravenel Bridge that was established for the bridge walkers
