In just a few weeks, the Chowan County Fair returns for the 78th time.

This huge, days-long event draws people not only from Chowan County, but also from all across eastern North Carolina.

It has everything:

rides
classic fair foods
exhibitions
music

and exciting shows for the whole family.

But it is really about history.

This is one of those community-defining annual events that draws people from all generations, making memories for kids, parents, and even grandparents.

In an age where it is so easy to lose touch with history, this is one of those events that brings everyone together and helps us all reminisce about childhood.
