Cycle NC Returns to Washington
April 17-19th ~ Washington will be hosting more than 1400 cyclists the weekend of April 17-19 for the Cycle North Carolina Coastal Ride. Cyclists are coming from across the country to enjoy our scenic, rural routes and true southern hospitality. They will be riding routes throughout Beaufort County and enjoying rest stops in Belhaven, Bath, Goose Creek State Park, Acre Station Meat Farm, and Camp Boddie. Join us as we welcome them for another fantastic weekend in Washington and Beaufort County.
BoCo Music Fest & Washington Marine Market
Saturday, April 25th ~ The Beaufort County Arts Council & Beaufort Country Traditional Music Association once again present a wonderful day filled of music from around the region and state at the Boco Music Fest. If you enjoy good music and entertainment, the White Top Mountain Band with the Green Grass Cloggers will be the featured performance at the Turnage Theater. More traditional music will be provided throughout the day throughou560481_3859981306747_741173617_nt downtown in conjunction with the Washington Marine Market, presented by the Washington Harbor District Alliance. The Market offers water-minded folks and opportunity to buy, sell and trade. If it is made to be used on or in the water, you’ll find it at the annual Marine Market. GullFest
Saturday, April 18th ~ Beaufort County Community College will host the 2nd Annual GullFest on the campus just east of Washington. Saturday’s events will include a spring festival on the BCCC campus featuring crafts, food, music and a car show with special guest Rick Hurst, better known as Cletus on Dukes of Hazzard. For the first time this year, a 5K race will be held on Sunday in Historic Bath at 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.beaufortccc.edu.
