Bass Creek Anchorage (just off the AICW/Coosaw River on Parrot Creek)
Statute Mile: 521
Lat/Lon: 32 28.825 North/080 32.513 West
Location: Parrot Creek cuts into the southern banks of the Coosaw River, west of flashing daybeacon #87; Bass Creek makes into the eastern banks of Parrot Creek south of this stream’s intersection with the Coosaw River, between markers #3 and #4
Minimum Depth: 7-feet
Swing Room: Sufficient room for vessels as large as 38 feet
Foul Weather Shelter: Very good

Currently anchored here with one other boat and it’s delightful. Being Chesapeake sailors, we initially found these open marsh anchorages less than desirable and then they began to grow on us. Not for nasty weather, but usually a nice breeze and the sounds of the marsh birds make for wonderful relaxation.
