Martin County Marine Transportation Route Information

Marine Industry Partners – Please Complete This Form!

The Martin County Board of County Commissioners and the Business Development Board have been working for years on creating a designated marine transportation route in the Stuart Park of Commerce and Manatee Pocket areas. This will allow easier access for larger vessels being transported by truck to get in the water. We are applying for grant funding that would cover the cost of potentially burying electrical/cable/etc. overhead lines and adjust traffic signals. The proposal also includes an overlay district that would not allow new developments the ability to construct overhead powerlines.

In order for the County to submit the application, we would like for you to take a
few minutes to complete the attached beneficiary form. This is NOT a commitment, but rather a good faith estimate that if all goes well this project would allow your business to grow by jobs and money.

Use the following information for the first two questions: (1) Proposed EDA Project Title: Marine Transportation Routes (2) Lead Applicant: Martin County Board of County Commissioners
