Celebrate Fall Fun this September in Edenton, NC!

Edenton, NC - the prettiest town in the South!

A longtime CRUISERS NET SPONSOR, historic Edenton always has an exciting calendar of events and places to visit! Edenton is at the mouth of the Chowan River on the northwest shore of Albemarle Sound.

September is here!

Fall has arrived, the kids are back in school, the cotton is almost ready to pick, and we are gearing up for an exciting month here in Chowan County.

So, if you are thinking about swinging through Edenton, stopping by one of our world-class B&Bs, or spending a few days exploring our one-of-a-kind history, September is a great time to do it!

This month, I’d like to highlight three items.

5K Mad Dash and 5K & Fun Run

Race for a great cause!

We’ve got two exciting 5K races in September! On September 7th, join us at Colonial Waterfront Park at 9:00 a.m. for Mad Dash for Mental Health to support SnapbackNC. On September 20th & 21st, join us at Edenton Bay Trading Company for the Live Your Dash 5K & Fun Run to support the George & Alex Memorial Foundation. Preregistration is required for both races.

Edenton Women’s Club Events

The Edenton Women’s Club will kick-off the 2024/2025 program year on September 4th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Church Hall. Women of all ages and backgrounds are invited to join us and learn about the various activities sponsored by the Edenton Women’s Club. Then, the public is invited to an Upscale Flea Market on September 13th & 14th at the Historic Edenton State Historic Site Visitor Center. Come enjoy a day perusing through treasures and support the ongoing efforts of the Edenton Women’s Club to preserve Edenton’s historical treasures!

78th Annual Chowan County Regional Fair

The award-winning Chowan County Regional Fair returns for its 78th year! This year’s theme, “Tea, Pigs & Patriots,” celebrates the 250th Anniversary of the Edenton Tea Party. People come from all over North Carolina to enjoy one of the best fairs in the state and to make memories that last forever. Join us from September 24th through September 28th for this iconic Chowan County tradition!
