All other in-person classes and activities will remain suspended until further notice.

Your safety and the safety of our staff continues to remain our priority. The Gulfport Senior Center has taken many measures to safeguard your health. To better protect and serve you, please understand, some changes that have gone into effect.

      • When you arrive at the center, please wear your mask, maintain physical distancing, and be prepared to answer screening questions prior to entry.
      • Checking in at the MySeniorCenter screen will be required. You must sanitize your hands before and after using the check in system.
      • In addition to our regularly scheduled cleaning, staff and volunteers will be disinfecting all high touch surfaces in-between guests and throughout the day.

      • And finally, stay positive, have fun, and be patient with all of us. These rules and regulations are new to everyone, including the Senior Center staff. This is a forever changing environment and we are doing our best to make the correct decisions to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We are excited to see you all. Until then, take care and have a great day.
      A Little Help from Santa!

I am sure some of our Gulfport kids could use a little cheer! It’s that time again for Santa to check his list and check it twice for “Operation Santa”. If you are a Gulfport resident and could use a little help, the Gulfport Police Department is now accepting applications for Christmas assistance through December 18, 2020 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2401 53rd Street S. Gulfport at the Records Department. Each family’s head of household must bring photo identification, proof of Gulfport residence as well as the name(s) and age(s) of child(ren) living in the home.  Operation Santa will collect Christmas gifts for children ages 0 to 10 years of age. There will be no home deliveries and you must pick up your gifts at the Police Department from December 20-21, 2020 by appointment only, so it’s important that you contact us right away. For more information on Operation Santa, please call at 893-1097 and leave a message.

To assist Operation Santa 2020 (or…Little Helpers for Santa)

For 29 years, Gulfport Police Department employees have sponsored a program called “Operation Santa” in which toys are donated to needy children that live in the City of Gulfport. Operation Santa has always been very successful in part due to the contributions we receive, we would again like to ask you for your help in the form of donations, i.e. monetary, new unwrapped toys, and gift cards. It’s been a particularly challenging year for some families and your thoughtfulness will make their holiday! Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If you have any question call 893-1097 and leave a message and someone will return your call.
