[EXPIRED] ICW Buoy 17 Back on Station, AICW Statute Mile 351, Myrtle Beach, SC
This Waterway Marker is on the southeast side of the narrow channel through North Myrtle Beach. Our thanks to Rod Busbee for this update. The “rockpile” is officially the Pine Island Cut and is flanked on both sides of the channel with large slabs of rock not always visible at high tide.
Green buoy 17 in the Rockpile at North Myrtle Beach was put back on station yesterday. It appears to be a bit farther into the channel than before. Cruisers need to stay to the green side to avoid the rock shelf that extends out from the west side in the area of the orange Clemson flag.
