June/July Programs at Dismal Swamp State Park, AICW Alternate Canal Route
Here are the park programs for June and July. There are four separate paddle programs from which to choose.

This is the year to Scale Back Your Fear, and learn about these commonly seen and often misunderstood reptiles. Love them or not, come out and learn about what makes them interesting and vital to the ecosystem!

Join the ranger for a leisurely paddle along the scenic Dismal Swamp Canal. Look for wildlife while learning about the park’s history. Free, but you must reserve your place! Call the office to sign up.
When Fire Is Good

Wildfires often make headlines and not in a good way. Learn about the positive role of fire in the ecosystem and the benefits of prescribed burns. Kid-friendly with games included.
Lunar Landing Anniversary Celebration
