With a closed vertical clearance of 15ft, NE 14th St Bridge crosses the Waterway at MM 1055.

FLORIDA – ATLANTIC INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – WEST PALM BEACH TO MIAMI – NE 14TH STREET BRIDGE: Temporary Deviation
Seminole Equipment Inc., acting on behalf of the bridge owner, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is authorized to temporarily deviate from drawbridge operation regulation 33 CFR 117.261(bb)(2) that governs the NE 14th Street Bridge across the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, mile 1055.0, at Pompano Beach, Florida.
Under this temporary deviation, the NE 14th Street Bridge is authorized to operate under the following conditions from October 7, 2021 through January 31, 2022:
1. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., daily, single-leaf openings with a 30 minute advanced notice for a full opening per the operating schedule outlined in 33 CFR 117.261(bb)(2);
2. At all other times, the bridge will operate per the CFR above;
3. The vertical clearance will be reduced by 3 feet across ½ of the channel; the contractor is required to notify the Coast Guard which bascule span has the chain-link containment system installed. During non-working hours, ensure the containment system is marked as to not create a hazardous situation with passing vessels.
