The Waterway passes through Core Creek north of Beaufort/Morehead City. No-wake and sharp watch are required in the vicinity of dredge equipment.

NC – INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – CORE CREEK RANGES D AND E – DREDGING
From 14 Jan to 5 Feb 2021, Southwind Construction Corp will be conducting dredging operations in the Intracoastal Waterway, Core Creek Ranges D & E, Carteret County North Carolina with fill placement at Upland Disposal Area 23. Submerged and floating pipeline associated with dredging operation will be in the area. Mariners are urged to transit at the slowest safe speed to minimize wake, and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. Pipeline and vessels will be visibly lighted and marked pursuant to Coast Guard regulations. Submerged pipeline will be positioned parallel and adjacent to the eastern shoreline of the federal channel traversing southerly to the upland placement area.
