LNM: AICW MM 280, Dredging, April 1-30, Mason Inlet Intersection, NC
Very welcome dredging in this intersection where shoaling has reduced the channel to 2ft in January; see Extreme Shoaling. Caution is required in the vicinity of dredge equipment.
NC – INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY – MASON CREEK CROSSING – DREDGING
Southwind Construction Corp. will be conducting dredge operation in the Intracoastal Waterway, Mason Creek Crossing, New Hanover County North Carolina, with fill placement at Upland Placement Area 241. Submerged and floating pipeline associated with dredging operation; use extreme caution in the area. Mariners are urged to transit at the slowest safe speed to minimize wake, and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. Pipeline and vessels will be visibly lighted and marked pursuant to Coast Guard regulations. Submerged pipeline will
be positioned from the ICW along the eastern most shoreline of the ICW to the Upland Placement Area 241. Dredge Wilko and workboats Ann Kay & Danny Joe will monitor VHF Channels 13, 16, and 79.
