With a vertical clearance of 22ft, Bakers Haulover Inlet Bridge crosses the man-made Bakers Haulover Inlet. This construction work should not affect the nearby Waterway just west of the Inlet.

Kiewit Construction will begin the Bakers Haulover Bridge Rehabilitation Project early February 2018. Containment will be installed to the bridge and will create obstructions underneath. The project will begin with installation on the south side of the inlet, from land to the main channel. The clearance to be taken by this containment is approximately 2 feet. Only ½ of the main channel will have containment installed at one time. Vessels are directed to observe this obstruction and to use the un-obstructed side with caution when traveling through the channel underneath Bakers Haulover Bridge. Once the south side of the bridge is complete, the contractor will be removed and install on the north side, similar to that as the south. The project is anticapted to be completed in June 2018.
