      Fort Johnson is on the south side of the Waterway’s path through Charleston Harbor and, while ICW traffic should not be affected, mariners should be aware of the dredging project. Our thanks to Officer Jeromy Sherrill for this notice.

      MSIB 1-19 Fort Johnson Boat Slip Dredge Project – Charleston, SC
      The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will be dredging the boat slip located at Fort Johnson. Beginning January 14, 2019 a pipe will be deployed from the boat slip to the spoil area located in the marsh southeast of Fort Johnson. The pipe will be removed April 30, 2019. Dredging operations will begin Feb 1, 2019.
