This offshore dredging is in the inlet entrance channel south of Bald Head Island.

NC – CAPE FEAR RIVER – DREDGING
Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company, LLC (GLDD) will be conducting dredging operations in the Cape Fear River utilizing hopper dredge Liberty Island. Dredging will be focused between Cape Fear River Entrance Channel Light Buoy 6 (LLNR 30340) and Cape Fear River Entrance Channel Light Buoy 11 (LLNR 30370) starting on or about June 11, 2021 and will be completed by July 1, 2021. Mariners are urged to use extreme caution in these areas and around dredging equipment. In addition, mariners are urged to transit the area of dredging at their slowest safe speed to minimize wake and proceed with caution after passing arrangements have been made. Chart 11537 LNM 18/21
