Situational Update – Hazardous Weather Outlook for the Western Atlantic
The latest briefing for the western Atlantic is attached, updated for strong low pressure that will continue to meander off of the mid-Atlantic coast with areas of storm-force winds, wind gusts to hurricane force, and seas 25 to 30 feet in the strongest winds. Coastal interests should continue to monitor the latest information from National Weather Service offices for coastal impacts, heeding advice from local officials. Mariners should continue to be practicing avoidance from this long-duration weather event. The next scheduled briefing will be a final update on the event Sunday, September
