      With a closed vertical clearance of 7ft, the Indiantown RR bridge crosses the Okeechobee immediately west of the Indiantown fixed bridge.

       

      FLORIDA –ST. LUCIE INLET TO FORT MYERS AND LAKE OKEECHOBEE– SEABOARD SYSTEMS R/R BRIDGE: Bridge Maintenance
      PCL Civil Constructors Inc, acting on behalf of the bridge owner, CSX Transportation, has requested to temporarily deviate from drawbridge operating regulation, 33 CFR §117.317(e), and block the channel in the southern opening (right descending channel) of the CSX Railroad Swing Bridge across the Okeechobee Waterway (St Lucie Canal), mile 28.2 at Indiantown, Florida. Under this temporary authorization, PCL Civil Constructors is authorized to keep the bridge in the closed to navigation position and block the waterway beneath the CSX Railroad Swing Bridge during the designated times and under the following conditions:
      – From 7 a.m. on July 26, 2021 through 5:30 p.m. on July 28, 2021 the bridge will remain closed to navigation, except that on July 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. the bridge will open for the passage of vessels;
      – At all times, the southern channel (right descending channel) will be blocked and no vessel may pass;
      – At all times, the northern channel (left descending channel) shall remain clear for vessels able to pass without an opening.
      – Work will be conducted during the hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; during non-work hours all in-water equipment shall be properly lighted.
