Happy New Year Everybody! As always Cruisers’ Net reminds all boaters that nighttime navigation in the spectator area of a fireworks display, especially when the anchored fleet is breaking up, is a particularly dangerous time. All vessels should have a designated, sober helmsperson whose clear head and undimmed eyesight will be able to get your boat and passengers safely back to the dock. Keep a sharp lookout! There are always some knuckleheads who have to demonstrate what big wakes their boats can make from startup.

The Portofino Island Resort. Displays begin at 9:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
