[EXPIRED] NAV ALERT: AICW MM 915.5 Damaged Daybeacon 3 Submerged, Melbourne, FL

This damaged and submerged ICW daybeacon is on the east side of the Waterway channel south of Eau Gallie Bridge. See LNM: AICW MM 916 Daybeacon 3 Missing Daymark, Melbourne, FL. Our thanks to Kelly Rodriguez for this alert.

This afternoon on the Indian River section of the ICW, south of Eau Gallie Bridge, North of Melbourne Bridge, we noted a dangerous downed (mostly submerged) Day beacon pole, east of the ICW channel, possibly a bit east of where (missing) G “3” is supposed to be (according to Navionics). We attached a small white fender to it, but not sure how well it will hold. Coast Guard (Port Canaveral) was advised. The pole appeared to be stationary, large diameter and study, but mostly submerged – a definite danger in our opinion. I can provide photo if you desire.
