      Punta Gorda, FL—Event organizers for Fishermen’s Village are pleased to announce the 2nd annual “Electric Blues Extravaganza”, scheduled to begin at 12 noon and continue until 9 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 on the Main Stage on the Dry Beach and in Center Court.

      Fishermen’s Village Electric Blues Extravaganza is a thrilling celebration of the electrifying sound and soulful spirit of blues music, bringing together musicians and blues enthusiasts alike for an unforgettable musical journey! Get ready as seven epic bands rock two stages with unstoppable energy and vibrant tunes for every taste! The event is presented in partnership with Muzzik4All.

      This year’s impressive line-up of talent includes:

      Elizabeth River – Belt Line Bridge Deviation

      Mariners are advised of a bridge deviation of the Belt Line Bridge over the Elizabeth River Southern Branch, at mile marker 2.6, in Portsmouth, VA to facilitate a required Federal Railroad Administration inspection and testing. The work will require the bridge to be maintained in the closed to navigation position during the dates and times listed below. 

      Dates/Times:

      Tuesday May 20, 2025, the bridge will be maintained in the closed to navigation position from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the following scheduled openings:

      10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

      2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

      An alternative rain make-up day will be on Wednesday May 21, 2025.

       

      The bridge will be able to open for emergencies with a 30-minute advance notice during this time. Mariners able to transit the bridge in the closed position will be able to do so at any time. At all other times, the drawbridge will operate in accordance with the operating regulations set out in 33CFR117.997(a).
