A Gale Warning is in effect for parts of the southwestern North Atlantic due to a stationary front creating strong gale-force winds and high seas. Rough conditions are also impacing parts of the Bahamas and SE US coast. A stationary front extends from 31N 65W to 24N 79W. West of the front string to near gale winds (20–30 knots) with frequent gale-force gusts are causing rough to very rough seas and swells ranging from 4.0 to 5.5 meters (13-18 feet) (outside the Bahamas). Conditions are expected to continue for another 12-24 hours. Forensic Marine Weather Expert You’re currently a free subscriber to Fred Pickhardt’s Substack.
