      Fall has arrived in Edenton!
       
      The leaves are changing into the brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows that mark the season.
       
      Cooler weather is here, and the calendar has flipped to November.
       
      November sees the return of the many festive and exciting events marking the transition between the fall and the holiday season.
       
      Here’s what is in store for November in Edenton!
      A Walk in the Woods, November 9th.
      Join local floral designer Missie Harrell and the Edenton Garden Club for A Walk in the Woods.
       
      Learn how to create beautiful centerpieces and arrangements that highlight the natural greenery available during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons from the people responsible for the gorgeous Celebration Garden at the Penelope Barker House.
       
      You’ll discover the secret to creating your own unique, festive, and timeless floral designs!
      Edenton’s annual Sip & Shop, November 18th.
      On Thursday, November 18, from 5-8 PM, Edenton’s downtown businesses will be open late to help you start your Christmas shopping the right way.
       
      Grab a glass, enjoy the festive decorations, and support the small businesses that drive Edenton’s historic downtown.
      Breakfast with Santa, November 20th.
      Breakfast with Santa returns on November 20!
       
      Come, enjoy a delicious hot breakfast, hot chocolate bar, letter writing station, cookie decorating, and craft tables.
       
       
      Santa will be joining us from 8-11, and every child will get professional photos with Santa.
       
      The cost is $10 for adults and $15 for kids.
       
      You can purchase tickets at two of our favorite downtown retailers, Soundfeet Shoes and Gregarious Goose.
      Turkey Day Trot, November 25th.
      Before you gorge yourself on turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and pie, to celebrate Thanksgiving, join us for the annual Turkey Day Trot.
       
      This free event celebrates and promotes the community snack program that supports the Edenton-Chowan Community School District.
       
      The Turkey Day Trot begins at historic Queen Anne Park in Downtown Edenton and goes to Hayes Plantation and back beginning at 8:00 AM on Thursday, November 25.
       
      There is no fee for this event, but you are welcome to bring snacks or an optional donation to support the Edenton Snack Program.
