A longtime CRUISERS NET SPONSOR, historic Edenton always has an exciting calendar of events and places to visit! Edenton is at the mouth of the Chowan River on the northwest shore of Albemarle Sound.

Spring is here! Edenton is full of flowering trees and blooming gardens, and it’s the perfect time to visit us in April.

April is shaping up to be a fun and exciting month. So, if you are thinking about swinging through Edenton, you can book a lovely room in one of our world-class B&Bs and enjoy all that spring has to offer.

This month, I’d like to highlight three items.

Cupola House Speaker’s Series on April 2nd

In celebration of our history, the Cupola House Speaker’s Series continues with a presentation on April 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Shepard-Pruden Library. Come learn about Edenton’s history with a special guest speaker who will present “Hayes: 400 Years of North Carolina History.” This free event is open to the public.

Easels in the Garden Tour, April 26 & 27

Join us for a two-day affair that offers an exceptional pairing of special garden tours with talented plein-air artists, each creating unique works of art in beautiful outdoor settings. This year’s tour will feature the exclusive gardens at Hayes Farm, Edenton’s newest historic site. Tickets are required for this event and can be purchased here. Other special events will be offered during the weekend, including flower pressing and picnic box lunches. Come join us for a lovely weekend in Edenton!

Boogie on Broad on April 26th

One of our favorite annual events in Edenton returns on April 26th at 5:00 p.m. Boogie on Broad is a fun, free event that brings the community downtown for a lively street party! Enjoy music and dancing while you mingle with the locals. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Plan to join us for this festive event!
